Picture

Suzanne’s works reflect a quiet and elegant aesthetic. Robust abstraction of structural forms, and graphic devices are used
to create pieces of jewellery, which are timeless in their celebration of nature. These pared down works display a modest simplicity, yet reveal a bolder, more dramatic, context when worn.

Graduated 1991, MA RCA (G S M J). Studied under Prof.David Watkins and Michael Rowe. Awarded Crafts Council Setting Up Grant, & Prince’s Trust loan, both 1994, enabling her to set up studio/workshop at home. Member of Contemporary Applied Arts (’94 – to present day), and is on the Crafts Council Index of Selected Makers. Shortlisted for Janet Fitch Jewellery Award 03 (Chelsea Crafts Fair).

Originally trained as a silversmith (3D Design : Silversmithing, Metalwork & Jewellery. BA Hons (1st Class), and studied rudimentary woven textiles as a subsidiary subject whilst at Buckinghamshire College, High Wycombe.
